Homemade Almond Milk {easy as hell, delicious + nutritious}

For like five years I’ve been wanting to make my own nut milks at home, knowing how easy and beneficial it is — but I never did. Then I just pushed myself over the edge, ordered a bag of nuts and some nut bags and I’m making milk all the time.

Making nut milks at home really is a no brainer — once you get in the routine it’s SO easy, cost effective and def cleaner than store bought versions.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of raw almonds {keep in fridge}
  • 4 cups of filtered water
  • nut bag

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Soak almonds in water overnight, in the fridge {it’s ok if you don’t, but better if you do}
  • Blend water and almonds for 2 minutes
  • Over a large bowl, pour into nut bag and strain — squeeze all of the liquid out

Das it.

It will keep for a few days in the fridge — great for coffee, smoothies or on it’s own! If I have leftovers that I can’t finish in time, I make almond milk ice cubes {also great for iced coffee, smoothies, matcha, etc.}.
